Position Feedback
The PFC provides continuous position sensing in a lightweight, small bore air cylinder.  It can be used for measuring and guaging, positioning, and "on-the-fly" applications.  It is available with or without a rod lock.  Combine the PFC with the Bimba Pneumatic Control System (PCS), Digital Panel Meter (DPM), or the Electronic Controller to maximize performance. Bore sizes:  1-1/16", 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 3" Standard stroke lengths:  1”, 2”, 4”, 6”, 8”, 12”, 18”, 24” Options:  bumpers, extra rod extension, low friction, plug connector, mounting Infinite resolution, linearity of ± 1% of full stroke, ± 0.001" mechanical repeatability Choice of standard 6" lead wire or 3-pin connector Rear head cap can be rotated for optimal positioning of lead or connector

Position Feedback Low Friction
TRD’s Position Feedback Low Friction (PFLF) cylinders are ideal for applications where the cylinder can touch down on a part and provide position feedback, thus gauge a part.  They can also be used in conjunction with a PCS (Position Control System) for closed-loop positioning.  The tie-rod design meets all NFPA standards. Bore sizes:  1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 3-1/4", 4", 5", 6", 8" Strokes available up to 24" Highly accurate, infinite resolution, linearity of ± 1% of full stroke ± .001” mechanical repeatability Electronic controllers available for dual set point and scalable analog output applications Easily repairable

Position Feedback Non-Contact
The PFCN is immune to many of the conditions that deteriorate older technology, such as the presence of moisture, dirt, dirty air lines, and debris generated as pneumatic products wear, especially at high speeds.  The PFCN is calibrated for 0 volts fully retracted, and 10 volts fully extended for all stroke lengths.  Both offset and scale factor are user adjustable. Bore sizes:  1-1/16", 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 3" Standard stroke lengths:  1" up to 9" Options:  bumpers, extra rod extension, low friction, mounting The PFCN connector is sealed to IP68 Use with Bimba PCS for continuous motion control and precise closed-loop positioning Available with or without rod lock

Position Feedback Non-Contact with Rod Lock
Bimba's Position Feedback Non-Contact cylinders use a magnetostrictive sensor.  The sensor tip, fixed inside the cylinder, senses position as a magnet mounted to the piston moves back and forth across the sensor tip's length.  This provides many important advantages that make this cylinder the preferred solution for closed-loop pneumatic positioning applications. Bore sizes:  1-1/16", 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 3" Standard stroke lengths up to 9" Low friction seals on the piston are standard Rod wiper included to keep out contaminants Rod lock holding forces range from 90 lbs to 700 lbs depending on bore size Use Bimba PCS controls for best results

Bimba Position Feedback cylinders with rod locks are used as a failsafe in the event of power loss. When pressure is present, the piston actuates and a dowel pin follows a cam to the open position, allowing the piston rod to travel freely through clamp.  In absence of pressure, the spring actuates the piston, the dowel follows to the closed position, activating the rod clamp. Bore sizes:  1-1/16", 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 3" Stroke lengths available up to 24" Operating pressure:  50 PSI minimum (to actuate lock piston) to 125 PSI maximum Temperature range:  -20°F to 200°F Expected service life:  5 million cylinder actuations/1 million lock actuations Rod lock holding forces range from 90 lbs to 700 lbs depending on bore size

Repairable Stainless
Bimba's repairable stainless steel cylinders offer a corrosion resistant design that is ideal for washdown applications and is designed specifically to reduce sharp edges and corners and provide a smooth transition from end cap to cylinder body.  Tapped holes are provided to allow easy mounting of USDA approved secondary wiper retainers as an option. Bore sizes:  1-1/2”, 2”, 2-1/2”, 3-1/4”. 4”, 5”, 6”, 8” Nitrile rod seal is pressure activated and wear compensating for long life Lubricant:  Food grade (H1) grease Designed for maximum corrosion resistance Maximum Operating Pressure:  200 PSI External secondary wiper meets USDA recommendations
