The L12, is an axial design that utilizes a powerful PMDC motor and a rectangular cross section for increased strength. But by far the most attractive feature of this actuator is the broad spectrum of configurations available: Standard options include: four stroke lengths, three force/speed combinations(gear ratios), four interface options including RC servo, Industrial servo(4-20mA or 0-5V control), linear position feedback, and end of stroke limit switches. For use with your NXT Brick you will need a standard NXT庐 connection cable to connect it in place of one of the Mindstorm庐 Servos, and you will need to download the Firgelli L12-NXT Mindstorms庐 Block. The L12-NXT will push 25N, and will move at 12mm/s unloaded For manual use with Lego庐 Power Functions you will require the Cable-NXT-PF available on this site. Control Board for Linear Actuators with position feedback. Turns your Linear Actuator into a Linear Servo with position control. Added features include USB connectivity, adjustable sensitivity, positionable stroke limits, and variable speed. Supports actuators with the -P control option. The -P option is available in our L12, L16, and PQ12 Series. Supports 6V, 12V, and 24V models. The controller has a peak output of 4A making it suitable for some of Firgelli Auto's larger actuators. Speed, Extend and Retract Limit Positions, Control Constants, and sensitivity are just a few of the customisable values. The LAC also contains all of the familiar input options, RC, I, V, making the switch between an LAC and an intergrated controller as simple as swapping the wires. DLL files are provided as well as documentation to allow the LAC to be controlled by a wide range of windows programming languages. An example of LABVIEW control is provided.
