Operating condition

 1. Use with specified safety barrier.

For Exia II BT5 explosion-proof valves, use them with the safety barrier SAF3-5 or that meets the

   conditions described below (note *1).

2. Parts and connections cannot be changed.

3. Use 1 explosion-proof barrier for each solenoid valve.

note *1

In the case of other barriers and combination

Konan 454, 414, 416 series intrinsic safety solenoid valves have passed equipment qualification tests for intrinsic safety solenoid valve.

The valves can be used in combination with the safety barrier that meets the following conditions. (The valves can be used with insulation barrier that does not need type A ground.)

The barrier used in combination with the valves should be the one that has passed equipment qualification tests for a barrier and that meets the following conditions.

Safety retention voltage Maximum voltage of a intrinsic safety circuit Less than 29.4V
Maximum current of a intrinsic safety circuit Less than 93.8mA
Electric power of a intrinsic safety circuit Less than 0.689W

Performance classification / Group

Performance classification ia
Group ⅡB or ⅡC

Allowable inductance (Lo) and capacitance (Co) for an intrinsic safety circuit and relationship between inductance (Lo) and capacitance (Cw) for external connections to the intrinsic safety circuit

Allowable inductance of a intrinsic safety circuit:Lo≧Li+Lw(mH)

Allowable capacitance of a intrinsic safety circuit:Co≧Ci+Cw(μF)
